The game between third ranked Reales (6-7) and fourth ranked Heroes (7-6) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Reales were defeated by Heroes in a tough game in Moca 70-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Reales. Worth to mention a great performance of center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. point guard Jaison Valdez (188-1995) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American guard Malachi Richardson (197-1996, college: Syracuse) answered with 20 points for Reales. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Heroes moved-up to third place. Reales at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Heroes are looking forward to face league's second-placed Metros in Santiago in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Reales will play at home against Soles (#9) and are hoping to win this game.
The game in Santo Domingo was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Marineros (7-7) played at the court of 8th ranked Leones (5-10). Marineros managed to secure a 7-point victory 100-93. Forward Andersson Mejia (201-2000, college: Texas A&M) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners and Emmanuel Omogbo chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Marineros' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Brayan Savinon responded with 21 points and 4 assists. Marineros moved-up to fourth place. Leones at the other side keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Marineros will play against Titanes (#7) in San Cristobal in the next round. Leones will have a break next round.
In the last two games of round 13 Indios beat Soles on the road 97-93. Caneros won against Titanes on its own court 102-96.
